This is a book intended for use by the manufacturers of cosmetics and covers the technology of that subject. Its point of view is frankly commercial, yet it contains much valuable information for the dermatologist. It considers all the various forms of cosmetics, except solid toilet soaps, from face powders to depilatories, and contains much interesting information on the materials used in cosmetics and on their formulas. Chilson is evidently completely versed in the subject and writes with intelligence and honesty.
