Dr. Pusey has been editor of the Archives of Dermatology and Syphilology for sixteen years. He has made this publication one of the great journals of medicine. Its high position is widely recognized and is a tribute to his leadership. On Dec. 1, 1936, Dr. Pusey celebrated his seventy-first birthday, attaining an age at which general opinion deems desirable retirement from positions of the sort mentioned; and because Dr. Pusey thought it wholesome to respect this opinion, he prevailed on the Board of Trustees of the American Medical Association to relieve him of the editorship. His resignation calls for something more than a casual notice.
