Abstract

This book covers briefly yet completely the important subjects of dermatology and syphilology, with two excellent chapters on the theory and technic of roentgen and radium therapy.

The influence of training in the European schools of dermatology under Whitfield, Adamson, Jadassohn, Sabouraud and Darier is in evidence throughout the book. This training, in addition to the experience gained in a large, active private practice and clinic, enables the author to express himself with great ease and effectiveness.

In discussing treatment he has sensibly confined himself to those measures and prescriptions which have stood the test of time. The beginner and the general practitioner are not discouraged as they are in most modern text books on dermatology by their inability to make a choice among the large number of prescriptions which follow discussion of each disease.
