Abstract

For the purpose of record, and for comparison with surveys made in other localities, the following report on tinea capitis cultures is submitted.

Cultures from 170 cases of ringworm of the scalp encountered in private practice over the thirty months from February 1946 to August 1948 were identified as follows:

We believe this survey is fairly representative of the incidence of each species in south and southwest Texas.
