Here are two excellent books which complement each other admirably; the first is a conventional type of text designed to offer a working knowledge of mycotic diseases; the second, something of a philosophical treatise concerned not so much with the mycotic diseases as with the reactions of the host to these diseases and designed to stimulate physicians to think more about the immunology of mycotic diseases. They are both eminently practical works.

"An introduction to Medical Mycology," by Lewis and Hopper, has gone through three editions. It has been the workbook of dermatologists since it was first introduced, in 1939.
