This volume is a compilation of papers dedicated to the late Wilhelm Lutz on the occasion of his 70th birthday. The majority of the papers are in German, a few are in English. The subjects are all of an investigative type and contain a tremendous amount of important information. The authors, in the main, are of the younger active group in continental dermatology. One cannot discuss any particular paper, because they are all of real value. It certainly is a book that can be highly recommended for the libraries of dermatology departments. It also has a distinct place among the reference volumes for those interested in research and dermatology in its broadest sense. The volume is a credit to the editor and a fine memorial to Professor Lutz.
