The collection and organization in a single monograph of the cutaneous manifestations of leukemia is a monumental task, for which not only the specialist in dermatology but the entire medical profession is indebted to Dr Bluefarb. The compact, concise, and orderly presentation of the vast amount of knowledge which has accumulated on this subject over the years, with the liberal addition of his own experience in this field, provides a timely and authoritative source of information heretofore unavailable. The book is profusely illustrated with 170 photographs (several in color), which, although poorly reproduced in some instances, add much to its value. The concluding chapter by Friedman and Leithold sets forth the hematologists' approach to leukemia, and contains 2 excellent tables concisely outlining the salient clinical features and cytology of all types of acute and chronic leukemia.
