To the Editor:
Dr. J. Ferreira-Marques, in the August, 1961, issue of Archives of Dermatology, page 304, states: "Disturbance of sensory perception has not been reported previously in alopecia mucinosa. . . .'' I would like to call attention to pages 398 and 402 of the reference, W. C. Johnson, R. S. Higdon, and E. B. Helwig: Alopecia Mucinosa, A.M.A. Arch. Derm. 79:395-406 (April) 1959, where we reported sensory changes in 4 of 8 patients.
