To the Editor:
You must make calls to learn things. At the Venereal Disease Hospital in Singapore it was impossible to convey the idea of prophylactic injections of pencillin into persons exposed to patients with recently acquired venereal disease. Substituting the word preventive for prophylactic did not help. Then, a Chinese doctor clarified the matter by suggesting insurance injections. It seems a good word!I pass it on to you.
