More than 200 persons attended the Seventh Annual Clinical Conference held at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute on Nov. 9 and 10, 1962, which was presented by the Hospital in collaboration with The University of Texas Postgraduate School of Medicine. The Conference was planned so that physicians of Texas and other interested persons might have an opportunity to discuss and evaluate recent diagnostic and therapeutic advances in the management of skin tumors. The topics of previous clinical conferences have included cancer of the breast, melanoma, cancer chemotherapy, head and neck tumors, and carcinoma of the uterine cervix, endometrium, and ovary.
J. Leslie Smith, Jr., M. D. Anderson Hospital Associate Pathologist, served as Chairman of the Program Committee. Guest speakers from other institutions and staff members of the hospital presented 17 papers pertaining to etiology and epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment of tumors of the skin.
