Abstract

Immunization of adult rabbits with fetal rabbit skin was not accomplished by the methods described in this study. However, fetal rabbit skin is antigenic when introduced into a heterologous species, as evidenced by the development of non-organ-specific anaphylactic sensitivity in seven of nine animals studied. On the basis of reported studies with other tissues, it is possible that heterologous skin will be an effective antigenic stimulus to the production of antiskin antibodies.
