To the Editor:
Gross and Hashimoto, reporting on "Hereditary Urticaria Pigmentosa" in the October, 1964, issue of Archives of Dermatology, say that ". . . only two (reports) can be found describing the occurrence of this condition in closely related individuals." They have thus overlooked an instance of mother-daughter involvement which I reported in the February, 1963, Archives of Dermatology.1 They do not define "closely related individuals," but if this could be construed to mean siblings, then they further fail to reflect the several reported instances of such an event.2
