Abstract

AS WE COME toward the close of this conference it may be well to recall that its success is one of the immediate goals of undergraduate teaching of dermatology; to remind you of this is my excuse for this return to the platform. I would like also to call attention to the advice which is given at this stage in the course of a retreat. One is advised to carry out self-evaluation before leaving the retreat. Decisions and commitments for action should become clear; they should be brief and specific; and there is considerable advantage in placing them in writing. The plans should be practical for the individual. They should deal with his reformation and not with his intent to reform those about him. He should know where to turn for further help in the months to follow or there will have been only temporary gain. He should look forward
