Abstract

A case of nodulus cutaneus in a smallpox vaccination scar is described. Its occurrence in this site is as far as we know unique.

Clinical similarity to malignant melanoma is discussed.

The importance of histopathologic examination for the differential diagnosis of these lesions is discussed.
