New President of Dermatology Group.—
Walter C. Lobitz, Jr., MD, Portland, Ore, was elected President of the American Academy of Dermatology at the 27th Annual Meeting of the organization of skin disease specialists. He will succeed Stanley E. Huff, MD, Evanston, Ill. Elected Vice-President of the 3,300-member academy was Victor H. Witten, MD, Miami, Fla. Reelected to offices were Robert A. Pommerening, MD (since deceased), Seattle, Wash, Secretary-Treasurer; Frederick A. J. Kingery, MD, Portland, Ore, Assistant Secretary-Treasurer; and Samuel J. Zakon, MD, Chicago, Historian. The new president is Professor and Head, Division of Dermatology, at the University of Oregon Medical School and former Editor of the Archives of Dermatology. Dr. Witten is Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami School of Medicine.
