THE editors, with much pleasure, dedicate this issue of the Archives to the New York Dermatological Society, which now celebrates its centennial anniversary.
Elsewhere, the founding of the society, its progress, and its history are described but it seems proper now to emphasize that this society was the first formal organization of dermatologists in the world. The Archives of Dermatology has respect and admiration for the many accurate and original contributions the members of this society have given to dermatology and dermatologists everywhere. Our congratulations to them; long may they continue their tradition of excellent progress in dermatology.
