To the Editor.—  For demonstrating that an uncleaned umbilicus will collect and hold keratin, for pursuing every uncleaned umbilicus to its depth, and for searching the skin to its most hidden deposits, I nominate Dr. Harold C. Fishman as Chief Navel Ecologist.The position of Pollution Officer Interdigitale Pedis remains open but I know the Archives will shortly fill it.
