Abstract

Articles in the Bulletin of the History of Medicine.—  The attention of those interested in dermatologic history is directed to two articles which appeared in the November-December 1970 issue of the Bulletin of the History of Medicine. These are "Non-venereal Treponematosis in Colonial North America" by Thomas C. Parramore, page 571, and "Hunter's Syndrome, Gargoyles—Washington Irving—'Rip Van Winkle' " by Richard T. Beebe, page 582.—The Editors

Meeting.—  The Fifth Annual Meeting of the Carmel Skin Club will be held in association with the annual meeting of the Western Section of the American Federation for Clinical Research, the Western Society for Pediatric Research, and the Western Association of Physicians in Carmel, Calif, on Friday, Feb 4, 1972. Tentative approval for the establishment of a formal Subsection of Dermatology has been received, providing sufficient abstracts of high quality are submitted.An invitation is extended for the submission of abstracts to the Western
