Abstract

A 48-year-old man developed a recurrent dermatitis which subsided after the application of a cream containing tolnaftate was discontinued. Patch tests showed delayed hypersensitivity to tolnaftate but not to the other ingredients of the cream. This is the second instance of tolnaftate allergy reported in the literature.
