Patients with chronic urticaria may respond to a salicylate-free diet. Information concerning the salicylate content of foods is not available to the general public nor is a comprehensive list of foods containing either salicylates or cross-reacting chemicals available to practicing physicians. A list was made of some products and natural foods containing salicylates and a salicylate-free diet was composed.
