To the Editor.—
In reply to Drs Nowlin and Solomon (Archives 112:1465, 1976), I wish to draw their attention to a report1 describing the remission of three cases of pustulosis palmaris et plantaris after intestinal shunt surgery for obesity. The relation of pustulosis palmaris et plantaris to psoriasis is still controversial; however, in case 1 the authors describe "previous rubrosquamous lesions on the elbows" that were considered "as probable psoriasis" that coexisted with the obesity and the pustulosis palmaris et plantaris.
