To the Editor.—
The misspelling "condyloma acuminata" continues to appear in medical literature.1-3 Although condyloma looks as though it might be a feminine singular or neuter plural form in Latin, it is actually the singular form of a third declension neuter noun. So the correct spelling is "condyloma acuminatum." If your patient has more than one of these lesions, call them "condylomata acuminata," which is the correct plural form.4
