To the Editor.—
In the February issue of the Archive,1 a facial papular variant of steatocystoma multiplex was described. Clinical features, histopathology by light, and electron microscopic techniques, were described in a comprehensive review on this subject in 25 patients.Features described by Nishimura et al1 do not seem to be different or unique when compared with cases of steatocystoma multiplex previously published. Multiple lesions on the face have been described before,2,3 including lesions confined to the face (patients 5 and 20).3 It is indeed possible that the lesions are minute, even smaller than 5 mm in diameter.
