Steatocystoma Multiplex

To the Editor.—  In the February issue of the Archive,¹ a facial papular variant of steatocystoma multiplex was described. Clinical features, histopathology by light, and electron microscopic techniques, were described in a comprehensive review on this subject in 25 patients.Features described by Nishimura et al¹ do not seem to be different or unique when compared with cases of steatocystoma multiplex previously published. Multiple lesions on the face have been described before,^2,3 including lesions confined to the face (patients 5 and 20).³ It is indeed possible that the lesions are minute, even smaller than 5 mm in diameter.
