The histologic findings were similar in both specimens (Figure 2 and Figure 3). The epidermis was normal to slightly papillomatous, and there were aggregates of mature adipocytes in the deep dermis. These findings supported the clinical diagnosis. The patient was referred to a plastic surgeon and underwent excision of a 13 × 4-cm segment of the lesion under general anesthesia. The current plan is to continue staged excision until the lesion is completely removed.
