In the Research Letter entitled “Fitzpatrick Skin Type, Individual Typology Angle, and Melanin Index in an African Population: Steps Toward Universally Applicable Skin Photosensitivity Assessments” published online April 29, 2015, and in the August 2015 issue of JAMA Dermatology,1 incorrect information appeared in the Figure. In part A, the correlation and P value, which were given respectively as “P = −0.98; P < .001,” should be replaced with “ρ = −0.98; P < .001”; in part B, the same statistics, which were given as “P = −0.98; P < .001,” should be replaced with “ρ = 0.95; P < .001.” This article was corrected online and in print.
