Errors in Population Numbers and Missing Data

JAMA Dermatol. Published online June 3, 2020. doi:10.1001/jamadermatol.2020.1769

In the Brief Report titled “Association Between Sexual Orientation and Lifetime Prevalence of Skin Cancer in the United States”1 and the Research Letter titled “Gender Identity and Lifetime Prevalence of Skin Cancer in the United States,”2 published in the April issue of JAMA Dermatology, there were errors in population numbers and missing data in the text and tables of both studies. These errors were reflected in the Editorial “Sexual and Gender Minority Populations and Skin Cancer—New Data and Renewed Priorities”3 published in the same issue. These errors did not affect any reported conclusions and are explained in greater detail in a Letter to the Editor in this issue of JAMA Dermatology.4 All 3 articles have been corrected online.
