For several years now, among facial plastic surgeons and their patients, greater attention is being paid to the lips. Of course, a beautiful mouth has always been appreciated, but with the increased availability of safe and effective tissue fillers, such as the many hyaluronic acid preparations, people have renewed interest in a youthful and attractive mouth. However, the focus on lip-filling as a path to youthfulness and attractiveness has not been universally effective. Though a young woman can appear alluring and appealing with lip fillers, and older woman who undergoes lip-filling often looks unnatural rather than attractive.
