In Reply We thank Beier and colleagues for their interest in our Research Letter.1 We agree that education is an important component of the life-long training of physicians, and their study demonstrates education’s effectiveness over the short-term. While not specifically mentioned in our study, education was one of multiple interventions used over the years preceding our recently reported project, and despite this effort we were unable to effect substantive and sustained decreases in our use of telemetry.
