To the Editor We congratulate Wang and colleagues1 for their excellent article in a recent issue of JAMA Internal Medicine demonstrating an association between better patient experience (as measured by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services [CMS] patient experience star ratings) and higher quality of care in hospitals in the United States. These findings were also recently independently corroborated elsewhere,2 supporting that the association is robust and that patient experience is indeed an important measure of health care quality.
