To the Editor We read with great interest the study by Schopfer et al titled “Association of Veterans Health Administration Home-Based Programs With Access to and Participation in Cardiac Rehabilitation.”1 The authors note that, given that a lack of transportation is one of the largest barriers to patient participation, the establishment of home-based cardiac rehabilitation (HBCR) programs is an effective way to increase cardiac rehabilitation participation.
