The best part of this little manual is the systematic descriptions and illustrations of the various fungi. The clinical descriptions are too brief to be of a great deal of value, and here and there are statements with which the reviewer does not entirely agree. It is his impression, for example, that precipitation and complement fixation tests for coccidiodomycosis are now well established as diagnostic procedures. The book is finely printed and beautifully illustrated; there are bibliographies and an index, and on the whole it should prove useful as an introduction to the subject.
