This book is one of a series of monographs on the cutaneous manifestations of the reticuloendothelial system. It is essentially three monographs, discussing separately mycosis fungoides, Hodgkin's disease, and lymphosarcoma in so far as their cutaneous features are concerned. Although the manifestations vary widely there are many similarities, so that one is impressed by the probability of a common etiological factor although no evidence of the nature of this factor is presented in this text.
The text is designed primarily for the dermatologist, but the manifestation of these diseases demonstrates the close association between the fields of dermatology and internal medicine. The systemic and general features of these conditions are not developed in detail, but treatment is discussed rather thoroughly, including the recent chemotherapeutic agents as well as methods that have been discarded.
