Ninth Annual Meeting of the American College of Cardiology.
—The American College of Cardiology will hold its ninth annual convention at the Claypool Hotel in Indianapolis May 23-28, 1960. Dr. Gabriel F. Greco, Ozone Park, N.Y., chairman of the Publicity Committee, has announced that the program will present a variety of topics of current interest in cardiology. Dr. Samuel A. Levine, Boston, will deliver the guest lecture, Some Prevalent Errors in the Practice of Cardiology. There will be a symposium on recent advances in the treatment of congestive heart failure, with prominent speakers covering physiology, pharmacology, changing mechanisms, fluids, electrolytes, cardiac glycosides, and other measures. Scientific sessions will be devoted to surgical management of coronary artery diseases, with emphasis on criteria for the selection of patients and availability of surgical methods for the improvement of collateral circulation.
