Abstract

Because practicing physicians are beset by such a bewildering array of books, journals, medical magazines, drug company advertising, promotional literature, and soliciting from drug salesmen, there is need for a single, reliable source of information on new drugs. The Medical Letter is a four-page document, published fortnightly by Drug and Therapeutic Information, Inc., 305 E 45th St, New York 10017. It stands as an authoritative, unbiased, critical source of concise information for the physician who is unable to sift all the chaff for the few kernels of wheat which come in his mail.

Thus far they have been admirable in their objectivity and fairness. The Medical Letter is highly recommended
