This book is a separatum of Pathologia et Microbiologia (30:507-827, 1967) and represents the proceedings of the Ninth Conference of the International Society of Geographical Pathology, held in Leiden, Holland, Sept 8 to 10, 1966. The 46 individual papers are in English, German, and French. The first part contains summaries of responses to an international infarction inquiry by authors from Switzerland, United States, United Kingdom, Israel, Poland, Italy, Austria, and Romania. The second deals with the biochemistry and the detailed pathological condition of infarction written again by authors from various countries. The third section contains papers dealing with the epidemiology of infarction.
