In the Clinical Note entitled "Erosive Osteoarthritis and the Main en Lorgnette Deformity: (Opera Glass Hand)" by Robert L. Swezey, MD, and Stanley J. Alexander, MD, which appeared in the August issue of the Archives (128:269-272,1971), an error appeared on page 271. The second sentence in the second column should read as follows: A characteristic distribution of osteoarthritic joints involving primarily the DIP joints by Heberden's nodes, the PIP joints by Bouchard's nodes, and, in addition, the carpal metacarpal joint of the thumb is well recognized.12
