This is another in the series of "how to do it" manuals published by Charles C Thomas. Assuming that there is some need for such manuals, this one is directed at a problem of reasonable significance.
One must assume also, if there is need for such publications, that the manual contains material that is specific to the topic, that is not readily available elsewhere, or that is new. This book, although it contains material pertinent to the topic, offers nothing new or that is not available elsewhere. It does, of course, collate material from several sources and saves the reader time and effort.
Commendable features of the book are portions that deal with special problems of the aged patients. These are covered in chapters 2 and 3 and represent the essence of the manual. They are listed with appropriate comment and suggestions for detection, assessment, and correction. The problems are
