Lipopathies is a useful compendium of many lipid-related diseases and syndromes. While the pathological physiology (when known) is reasonably well discussed, there is some deficiency in describing the clinical aspects of the disorders with respect to symptoms and signs. However, a real attempt is made to discuss at least some aspects of treatment. The major deficiency in the book is the almost total lack of discussion of the most common lipopathy of all, obesity. In summary, the book serves as a useful additional reference for clinicians interested in lipid disorders.
