Transplantation Today is the second volume of the Proceedings of the Transplantation Society, represents the March 1973 issue (vol 5, No. 1) of the quarterly journal Transplantation Proceedings, and includes the proceedings of the Fourth International Congress of the Transplantation Society held Sept 24 through 29, 1972, in San Francisco. The proceedings were edited by Rapaport of New York, Balner of the Netherlands, and Kountz of New York. This very authoritative volume represents the present state of our knowledge of the many facets of science and medicine that make up the specialty of transplantation. The volume contains more than 1,000 pages and is divided into eight parts with numerous chapters in each; in some cases, the various parts are further divided into sections.
