Wrong Legend.

—In the article, "Disseminated Toxoplasmosis in the Compromised Host: A Report of Five Cases," published in the December Archives (134:1059-1062, 1974), the legend for Fig 1 on page 1059 was incorrect. The legend should read: "Fig 1.—Numerous intracellular and free Toxoplasma organisms in the dentate nucleus of the cerebellum (hematoxylin-eosin, original magnification × 900)."

Lactic Acidosis.  —In THERAPEUTIC GRAND ROUNDS No. 6, published under this title in the July issue (134:148-151, 1974), two errors have been noted. In the right column on page 148, the sentence beginning in line 24 reads, "The oxidation of pyruvate to lactate is accompanied by the conversion of reduced nadide (NADH) to nadide (NAD)," whereas the pyruvate is reduced to lactate, not oxidized.On page 149, the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation given toward the top of the right column omitted "log" before the expression "(HCO3)/αPCO2." The correct formula, therefore, is as follows:
