To the Editor. —I agree that physicians who prescribe "chelation therapy" for vascular disease are abusing a precious freedom. Two things can help solve this problem: (1) Patients victimized by such physicians should be encouraged to file malpractice suits. (2) Malpractice insurance companies should either cancel the policies or raise the premiums of physicians doing chelation therapy.
