I read "Managed Care and Managed Death"1 in a recent Archives. I am so pleased that you printed such an essay. It was far greater than refreshing to see something not wallowing in the sludge of "political correctness." Sulmasy makes a compelling argument against euthanasia from an ethical point of view, and he shows the "slippery slope" our culture has followed.
This essay should be shouted from the rooftops. It celebrates our humanity and our profession. It glorifies that which is noble in us, and it gives us strength to continue the "fight" for our patients.
