Abstract

In reply  Matarasso presents two cases of venous thrombosis associated with tight garments. He implies that this form of "tight wear" was a contributing or causative factor in the development of DVT in these patients. Although those individuals were at high risk for venous thrombosis, a direct relationship may have coexisted. Whether or not this is true, one should be alert to the possibility and the dread consequences that may result.
