Abstract

We agree entirely with Lisi's point. In part, the omission of the recent Health Care Financing Adminstration update was due to the timing of the writing of this review. We thank her for updating the readers of the Archives.

We believe that this example illustrates the complexities of regulating the prescription of drugs in the nursing home. Although the intention of the regulation is to be applauded, Lisi's point demonstrates that nursing home regulations should periodically be evaluated and modified to improve the outcomes of nursing home residents.
