We appreciate the perceptive comments of Dr Ghosh on our study.1 The "outrage" factor cited as being a component of the patient's evaluation of risk would seem to parallel our questions to patients concerning "serious" side effects. Surprisingly, the percentage of patients wanting to know all such side effects was very little in excess of the answer to the similar question as to "all" side effects. Further study as to how patients identify outrage will be of interest.
