Errors in Byline and Table and Omitted Conflict of Interest Disclosure

JAMA Intern Med. 2019;179(3):457. doi:10.1001/jamainternmed.2019.0175

In the Viewpoint titled “ New Breast Cancer Screening Technologies in Older Women—Is it Time to Pump the Brakes?”1 published online January 14, 2019, the byline for Dr Gross was incorrect. The correct byline is Cary P. Gross, MD. There were errors in the Table footnotes. Footnotes have been added to the Incremental Reimbursement column, and new footnotes were added for the date that computer-aided detection was introduced or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration and the year that digital breast tomosynthesis was first covered. A grant number and a conflict of interest disclosure were inadvertently omitted. The following statement should have been included: “Dr Richman reports grants from the National Institutes of Health/National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (KL2 TR001862) during the conduct of the study and support from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid to develop quality measures outside of the submitted work.” This article was corrected online.
