Lai and Katirji1 described a healthy 21-year-old woman in the postpartum period who developed a right-sided throbbing headache. It was followed by the identification of a T2 focus in the splenium of the corpus callosum with diffusion restriction and a corresponding change on the apparent diffusion coefficient map, along with the identification of thromboses involving the superior sagittal and right transverse sinus. They concluded that the structural abnormality in the splenium was consistent with an ischemic etiology and the result of the venous pathological findings identified.
