In July 2010, the Archives initiated an Online First publishing schedule in which we publish 5 articles online each month followed by print publication shortly thereafter. We now announce with pleasure incremental Online First publishing beginning in January 2012 with the publication of 3 articles online each week, increasing to 4 articles each week in February and then to 5 articles each week in March. Thus, 20 articles will be published online immediately after acceptance each month beginning in March. It is our mission to bring to our readers the most important neurologic information provided to the Archives expeditiously and efficiently. The most exciting and important articles we receive and accept will appear quickly. This new initiative is part of our effort to expedite the peer review process and reduce the time from acceptance to publication for important science that is of great interest to us all. Manuscripts selected for Online First publication address mechanisms of disease, genetics, the genomics of neurologic diseases and normal brain functions (neuromics), neurotherapeutics, commentaries on contemporary clinical issues, in-depth neurologic reviews, clinical trials, and studies that emphasize translational research from the bench, bringing therapies to our patients.
