To the Editor We read with interest the work of Savica and colleagues1 on the survival and causes of death of synucleinopathies with parkinsonism. Research about the natural history of late-stage neurodegenerative diseases is frequently neglected even though it is extremely relevant for clinical care.2 There is also a general impression in the field that several aspects are shared across neurodegenerative diseases when it comes to late- and end-stage disease.
