To the Editor We read with interest the article1 by Aminoff. In this reflection of the physician’s role in the era of an increasing technology presence, Aminoff highlighted the pitfalls of relinquishing the neurologic examination in favor of wearable sensors, imaging, and telemedicine, concluding that “If medicine becomes dehumanized by technology, the quality of health care… inevitably will deteriorate, in much the same way that voicemail, which facilitates communication, commonly engenders uncertainty, frustration, and impatience because direct human contact is lacking.”
